Why us, why Lipoffka, or how did it all begin?

Have you ever had that urge... more like a calling... whispering: 'Buy an older property, renovate it and start renting it out.' No? Me neither. :)

But my brother did. And that is exactly how it all started - with a phone call.

A phone call asking whether I would join him in something like this. And I did. Without much overthinking and with full trust, because I knew that with my brother it would be a ride, even if it did not work out.

And a ride it really was. Almost every weekend from the beginning of the year went into repairs and improvements: clearing out, painting, knocking things down, building, painting again, cleaning, improving, moving things around, painting again... working on the garden, building the sauna and the children's playground... and yes, more painting.

We wanted to offer people the kind of place we would look for ourselves on holiday. That is how Lipoffka was born. Why choose Lipoffka? It may not be the Hilton, but ordinary people made it for other people. We put a piece of ourselves into it and did everything as well as we could. And because it really is a great place to take a few days off. :)

We should also add that none of this would have been possible without the help of our family, especially our parents, who worked on this project from start to finish. They deserve huge thanks... and maybe we will even let them stay here for free sometimes. :)
